Job Title: Remediation Advisor (level dependent upon experience)
Department: HSE
Location: Corporate
BASIC FUNCTION:
Plan, organize, and direct contract/consultant remediation professionals to develop strategies and implement remediation objectives, manage corporate remediation liabilities, minimize risk, promote compliance with regulatory requirements, company policy and encourage sustainable business activities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee development and implementation of Remediation Strategic Plans, Remediation Project Management, and application of relevant internal controls.
- Oversee production of required internal and external remediation reporting.
- Responsible for the stewardship of the budget and capital and operating for TPI Remediation Programs.
- Review and authorize using DAG, AFE's, AFR's, project cost estimates, contracts, purchase orders and invoices for technical completeness, cost competitiveness, and compliance with company procurement and work authorization policies.
- Authorize permit applications, reports, and documentation.
- Represent the company on remediation issues including litigation, trade associations, regulatory agencies and internal work groups.
- Serve as advisor of Lone Wolf Land Real Estate Company.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- BS Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related technical field.
- Minimum 10 years related experience; experience in petrochemical/refining or construction project management is highly desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of environmental risk management concepts.
- PE Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Must be proficient in MS Office and have strong business and interpersonal communication skills.
