Job Title: Credit Analyst
Department: Credit & Administration
Location: Corporate
BASIC FUNCTION:
Evaluate creditworthiness of customers in an effort to minimize and manage credit risk.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate the financial stability and credit worthiness of potential and existing customers.
- Analyze financial data submitted by customers.
- Assist Cash Applications in processing incoming payments.
- Work with customer service, Sales, and others to resolve issues that create credit blocks.
- Review and update customer files/credit lines according to credit policy and procedures.
- Review new and renewing supply contracts.
- Review accounts receivable aging frequently, and contact delinquent customers to resolve past due amounts.
- Keep credit master text updated with notes from collection calls, and any other relevant data about the account.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree required; preferably in Finance.
- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- SAP/BW and MS Excel experience.
- Petroleum/petrochemicals industry experience preferred.
- Requires some travel for customer visits.
