Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

Location: Houston Corporate Office

BASIC FUNCTION:

Preparation of federal income tax filings and FAS 109 accounting for subsidiaries of Total Holdings USA, Inc., in an accurate and timely manner. The position will also be required to consolidate the separate subsidiaries and prepare supporting schedules for both the consolidated tax return and the year-end tax accrual.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation and submission of federal income tax returns in an accurate and timely manner to meet the legal objectives of the group
• Preparation and coordination of the manufacturing deduction and foreign credit calculations process
• Assist with the reporting of income taxes for the Holding Company and separate subsidiaries in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements
• Responsible for the consolidation of the separate subsidiaries for both the income tax return and year-end tax accrual
• Assist in preparing responses to federal tax audit Information Document Requests
• Research various tax issues
• Additional duties and special projects as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; Master’s preferred
• 3-6 years experience in income tax compliance, research and reporting
• Consolidation experience as it relates to either corporate tax returns and/or FAS 109
• CPA or extensive years of corporate tax department experience
• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and tax preparation software
