Job Title:
Vendor Maintenance Administrator
Department: Finance
Location: Houston Corporate Office
BASIC FUNCTION:
Maintain master vendor records in SAP by providing accurate and timely creations and modifications following the company’s established internal controls. Provide support to the accounting department for compliance of IRS 1099 reporting. Maintain procedure manual and approval authorizations for compliance with SOX.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create/modify vendors following established internal control procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of W9 documentation, tax status and identification and provide support for compliance of IRS 1099 reporting.
- Provide internal support and guidance for requestors through a problem solving process.
- Maintain procedure manual and approval authorizations for compliance with SOX.
- Participate in yearly internal and external vendor maintenance audits.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 4 years of SAP experience.
- Accounts Payable or purchasing experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
