Super High Impact Polystyrene (SHIPS) is rubber modified impact polystyrene with typical Izod impact values of greater than 2.4 ft-lb/in. Izod impact measures the amount of energy a notched injection molded specimen absorbs while being struck with an instrumented hammer. SHIPS is an excellent product for applications requiring extra toughness such as food packaging, appliance housing, toys, industrial guards and spools.
