Drawbacks of using PP plastic:
PP Plastic doesn’t come without any drawbacks. The chemical composition of Polypropylene makes it highly flammable and prone to UV degradation. In its purest forms, PP plastic is unsuitable to be left under prolonged sun exposure as it can damage and degrade the material. Polypropylene is also susceptible to damage by oxidation. These damages can shrink a finished product, which is not ideal for manufacturing carpeting and upholstery products. PP Plastic is generally considered safe for human use, but research has proven that certain chemicals may cause cancer. You can avoid the risks of ingesting these chemicals into your body by replacing PP plastic food storage and cooking products. These products can cause developmental delays, hormonal imbalances, and reproductive problems in growing adolescents and children.
